I got the box a few weeks ago. I watched youtube videos about downloading apps etc.
I have a bunch of the most used apps but they just load endlessly and i can't access content.
I'm wondering if the box is faulty or something? I tried updating the apps, i tried restarting. I tried different ones. But its so frustrating.
Name a few of the apps that don't work.
Do a factory reset of the Mibox. Use the Google Play store app on the Mibox to install your apps.

I just knows that ES file manager is needed to install the third party apps on Mi box. I tried and got the luck. i used thumb drive to attach fujitv.apk(an app to watch japanese tv channels live) to mi box without any side loading, thanks to ES file manager.
Did you get the apps from the Play Store?
Sounds like you side loaded them. There’s no guarantee that sideloaded mobile apps will work on Android TV
