I seriously doubt any USB TV tuner is going to work, even when Xiaomi release a proper Nougat 7.x update.
You need Android/Linux Kernel and Firmware driver support first to even get USB devices working.
The Mi Box has lousy half motion deinterlacing as well for OTA TV use, even with the Beta Nougat Mi Box Firmware.
So summing up. AVOID the Mi Box for anything to do with OTA TV.
Hello, the Mi Box is still on android marshmallow 6.0.1 version and it doesn't support usb tv tuners, however android nougat does support usb tv tuners and also the ability to record live content, but it's up to Xiaomi to provide support for them; everybody is waiting for this update to arrive very soon, so we can check if they work with the device.
