Legit Android TV get the Mi Box.
For an Android TV device running the official Android TV operating system , there are basically 2 options available on the market: Xiaomi's $69 Mi Box made for America, and the $180+ NVIDIA Shield TV.
We do not recommend any Chinese junk boxes here. This sub is for the actual Android TV operating system.

The Mi Box is fine for anything up to 4K @ 30fps. It's not good for demanding games, it only has one USB port and no ethernet port, but for 70 dollars I think it's a fantastic value.
They're still making new Nougat betas, so theoretically it should get Android 7 someday. I figure there's at least one guy at Xiaomi working on it because there was a new beta release in August.
