I just bought a new Xiaomi mi box. I have issues with Netflix. I tried to find solutions on the sub. Installed DRMinfo.
The Hdcp level is not working. I tried to change HDMI port, resolution and sometimes I get Hdcp 1.X and one time I got 2.2(no idea how) worked great. Closed the TV and now its not working again.
Is there a solution to this issue or more info on the problem? Exchanging it for another box? Would I get the same error with another device like a shield?
have you tried updating the firmware?(the official update not the beta)
Hey try the steps listed by Jon2000 in this forum post for a temporary fix, it should work because your RCA TV and the Haier use similar panel/internals afaik.
It worked for my Haier TV. Unfortunately its only a work around, a permanent solution to to buy a HDMI splitter this is the one that worked for me.

But I've heard that splitter didn't work for some people either, my suggestion would be to buy the cheapest hdcp 2.2 splitter from your local bestbuy/walmart/electronics store and return it if it doesn't work so you don't have to pay amazon's return shipping if the amazon splitter doesn't work.

Are you trying to get 4K or something? I've got a mi running netflix and I've never had any HDCP issues.

. I tried contacting netflix and Xiaomi and had no luck. Though netflix was pretty nice to me and gave me a free month. I tried everything including a factory reset.
In the end I exchanged it for a different Mi box and the new one worked great out of box.
It took me a while to exchange it since I bought it from the US (I live in Canada). Until I exchanged it i downloaded the mobile netflix app and for some reason it worked. It was just a pain in the ass to use with the remote, had to get a bluetooth keyboard and trackpad.

Ive heard exchanging for another box can sometimes rarely work.
Typically its a mismatch between your TV, Mi Box and netflix due to Netflix DRM being really complicated on non flagship devices.
As a start you should bitch at Netflix even though it wont do anything. You could try a different Mi Box but the other options are to try a different TV or just get a Shield. I have three Mi Boxes and a Shield for the record. Cant use the Mi Box in the living room but it works perfect in the bedroom. Its the opposite for the Mi Box with HBO Now.
Its very frustrating. Shield doesnt have these issues at all.
