I'm looking for a remote that can:
- Control my Nvidia shield
- Turn on and off my IR devices (TV, Soundbar, etc...)
- Doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard
- Does have a mic to do content searches

The mic part is going to mess you up. The only IR/BT/mic remotes that I've seen also have a full keyboard on them.
If you're okay with a USB mic that can pick up sound across the room, you can probably just use that with a button press used to trigger it (unless you want to do always-on with "okay google"). There are lots of options for that.
I continue to be baffled that there is not one remote control on the market that competently does what you ask for.
Pretty much everyone who has ever bought an android TV device also wants this.
Off topic: I would love to see the remote for the MiBox, work on the Nexus Player, but it isnt meant to be. Gotta stress how annoying it is to adjust the volume through Kodi on the Nexus Player. I would give away today, my buggy piece of shit MiBox, if the Nexus Player came with a MiBox like remote.
I also would like one of these!
