Is it possible to disable the internal Bluetooth on a Nexus Player and use and external Bluetooth dongle instead?

The internal Bluetooth will not connect to a PS4 controller. It tries to pair and then gives up after a while. I have a USB Bluetooth dongle that works great to connect the PS4 controller to a raspberry pi, and I’d like to be able to use it to connect the PS4 controller to my nexus player instead.

Is this possible to do? Im fine with editing config files if I need to, I just haven’t been able to find much through Google. Thanks!

what happens when you try the dongle?

If your device is rooted, just use the Sixaxis Controller app. You don't need a dongle for that.
