Mi Box Nougat beta shows mouse pointer

Question

Hi,

I have a Mi Box with the 1028 Nougat beta. Sometimes when I move around in the android menus I see a mouse-pointer showing in the middle of the screen, it is flashing by very quickly. What is this, and why is it showing? Only using the original remote. This did not happen in Marshmellow, but has happened in 1028 and the previous version I had (think it was 924 or something).

Any ideas?
