You would have to:
a) Root the Sony Android TV - likely from Android recovery with the Magisk .zip program from the XDA forums.
b) Get hold of the Xiaomi Mi Box 2717 .kl keyboard layout files.
c) Using ADB connect on a PC / Mac and Android developer options put those .kl files in the correct Keylayout directory with the correct permission added.
d) Cross you fingers it all works.

No, it only works for the mi box as it should do
you can try.. I was able to link my mi box remote with both of my android phone and tablet and it works with just pairing didnt add any files. also i was able to pair and use it with my other s905 box running custom android tv os rom. just make sure to unpair if first with your mibox or better turn it off. here's the screenshot paired from my phone. https://i.imgur.com/W6q8wXs.png
