Sony android tv lagging when changing sound

So apparently there is some kind of problem when the receiver is connected thru ARC , the pictures is lagging and sometimes the sound symbol doesn't even come up when trying to change the volume. hopefully they will fix this problem in the next update.

When I have the sound thru the tv only there is no problem at all.

now to the challenge, I have my receiver blocked off so there is no way IR can reach it and therefore I've controlled it thru ARC until now.

I have a logitech one remote and my thinking is the hub might be a solution, or won't it connect to the receiver? Is there some other way I can change volume on my receiver without going thru ARC?

Hope you can help me because i just can't see a solution.

I get lag also when I change the volume. But I don't have a receiver connected. The UI and Video freeze for upto 5 seconds when I change the volume.

I hope this gets sorted out for us one day.

On my 850D - the volume changes instantly - but the ui can take 3-4 seconds to actually show up

I have a 850D connected to a denon 3311 through ARC. When I use the TV volume to control the volume through cec then the volume on the ui lags. If I hold the volume for a quick change in volume then the level oscillates. I eventually bypassed the cec control opting for my Harmony to directly control the denon.

I've noticed this in Play Movies, but not Netflix. I do have a receiver connected through the ARC. I just assumed Play Movies wasn't playing nice with it, not the TV itself.

Happens to me as well! I have a 55X900 and a Denon E300 receiver. Lags, barely changes volume, and causes serious video stuttering in Plex, Playstation Vue, Netflix, and Hulu.
