Android TV/Kodi Box Help: USB controller buttons are mapped to system apps. Can't bind keys to emulator because when button is pressed, it exits the emulator app.

Question

I don't know if this is the right sub to get help for this issue and I don't know if I'm explaining it right. I tried mapping a USB snes controller and a USB N64 controller, but when I try and map the keys within the emulator, certain keys that are pressed on the joystick will exit the app and open file explorer/chrome/setting etc. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this or can point me to a subreddit that would know how.

I'm using a beelink Android TV box with TVLauncher.
