Does the Xiaomi Mi Box support receivers?

I want to invest in a Xiaomi Mi Box to cut the cord and am really attracted to its low price point. However, before buying does it support a receiver? If so does it come with a native guide application or is that on Android 7.0? If not is there an Android TV that runs 7.0, is stock, and is cheaper than say an Nvidia Shield?

Avoid the MiBox, it will never get an upgrade to Android 7.0, yet alone 7.11 or 8.0. Its buggy and your better off with a FireTV or nVidia Shield.
