Hello, I've been a Tellybean user since I got my Mi Box so here's my experience:
At first, I was informed that Android TV devices didn't support USB webcams except for the Nvidia Shield so I was using their own camera app called "Tellybean Camera" and it works great, you can use any Android or iOS phone to convert it into a web camera.
A few days ago I heard the Mi Box actually support webcams, but they must be UVC webcams, I was able to test one and it worked! so you must follow this instructions:
AT THE ANDROID TV HOME SCREEN CONNECT THE CAMERA, WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND THEN OPEN TELLYBEAN, IT WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT.
GO BACK HOME AND REBOOT THE MI BOX BY PRESSING AND HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON UNTIL "REBOOT" APPEARS, THEN PRESS THE SELECT BUTTON.
WHEN THE DEVICE REBOOTS AND IT'S ON THE HOME SCREEN, OPEN TELLYBEAN AND YOU WILL SEE THE "TEST CAMERA" OPTION, THAT DOESN'T APPEAR AT FIRST.
the Tellybean app is very cool, you can leave it logged in, and every time you receive a call you can see a notification at the bottom right of the screen whether you are watching a video or playing a game and it's not obtrusive.
