It's basically Disney Movies Anywhere, but added to the mix are 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, and Universal Pictures along with Disney. Basically, much expanded content, and this will allow for more device parity. You can link your Vudu, Google Play Movies, iTunes, and Amazon Video accounts to it.

Is there any upside to using this app over Google Play Movies & TV? I linked my Google and Amazon account, to get the five free movies. But all five show up in GPMT just fine.

I did find something this app has that neither Vudu or GPMT have: profiles. So using it I can set my kid's profile to only show PG movies. Nice.

App gets an error on my Shield when I try to play a movie.
We need something like this in Canada. They sell BluRays with Ultraviolet but there's no way to watch your content. Your only option is Flixster - might as well be Shitster. Mobile and desktop only, no Chromecast, AirPlay, Game Consoles, Android Tv or Apple TV support.
Inclusion of Vudu for the states is great because it covers that irritating UltraViolet problem. You guys are lucky.
Thanks everyone for sharing. As long as you attach Movies anywhere to google play, itunes, vudu or amazon. Those movie will show app in your app where you connected it. So no need to actually install the MoviesAnywhere app. I connected it to google play, vudu, amazon and itunes. its showing in my google play movies list. :D So this is what I got:
I set this up with Google play, Amazon Prime and Vudu.
There are a handful of movies that haven't shown up in all three libraries, maybe 75% of my library is showing up everywhere. The five free movies are in all three accounts.
