With a Chromecast, my friends could open up Netflix on their phone, select a show, then cast it to my chromecast.
I now have an Android TV instead. Now, when my friends click the cast button on their phone, instead of casting the show, it just brings up the profile selection screen on the Netflix app of my Android TV. It asks then to log onto one of my profile, instead of just casting from their profile.
How do you stop this?
This has been an issue for ages. I think it's down to Netflix allowing the app to take over the cast, but not adding support for other accounts.
I just tested it on my Nvidia Shield and it does this. If it's a different account than what I have on the shield, it says I can't do it.
Edit: I also tried casting Netflix from my desktop browser, and I don't even get the option to cast to the Shield. I can cast the tab, but not the video from the app.
I recently noticed this as well. Netflix probably needs to fix it.

Sounds like another undocumented difference between chromecast and chromecast built in (android tv) google really needs to get it together
