Razer Forge TV Power Cord Replacement

by ki11erisdead

I recently picked up a Razer Forge TV on eBay for 10 bucks: unit only, no power cord. I figured I'd be able to pick up a replacement cord no problem, but I've yet to have any luck doing so ( https://i.imgur.com/WTsrpu7_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium ). Does anyone know of a generic cord available online that'll work with this? Or, the voltage / dimensions of the input plug so I could try to craft one myself? Thanks!

You paid $10 too much already.

Cut your losses now.

You should be able to pick up a universal adaptor with different removable sockets and a voltage switch. Usually these are sold at like electronics shops so shouldn't be too hard to find.

If you can't find info on the socket type, what I would do is take the Razer TV with you and ask one of the store clerks to see if you can open up one of their adaptor boxes and test out the different sockets to see which fits. So plug it in and slowly step up voltage on the power adaptor starting at 5V, then 7V, 9V, until it turns on. Just be wary of the polarity, IIRC center of the plug is usually positive so start with that.

All that said there should be info on the polarity and voltage online, otherwise an email to Razer support should get you that info.
