If you tv has cec yes but only on the mibox input. the mibox remote is bluetooth most tv remotes are infrared so as a standalone remote for your tv no
Or Harmony Hub + Harmony Bluetooth Keyboard emulator
Your Mi Box will see it and you have full control
with the hdmi cec i'm using the mibox remote to turn on my tv and the tv turn off itself after a while when there is no signal (mibox standby)
You can also use a Harmony IR remote to control the Mi Box.
It's suppose to be working if your tv has a cec but the problem is that the mi box has an issue i don't know maybe its a bug on the firmware and maybe they will fix it on the next update
