I'm trying to stream videos (tv shows & movies) from my pc using PS3 Media Server to my Mi Box but the video is really stuttering and lots of buffering. I tried to change resolution and video acceleration but nothing helped. any suggestions?

Only thing that fixed it for me was switching to wired networking.
I have a MiBox and while I dont have buffering issues, I do have stuttering issues. Happens with VLC, Plex or Kodi, its totally random and not due to the fact that the MiBox is stuck running Android 6.0.
Most annoying "Feature" of the MiBox and the main reason why I cant recommend the media player as this has been going on since the week I bought it. My sisters bf got a 4K TV and im telling him to choose between the FireTV or the Shield.
This doesn't happen on my 2 Nexus Players. I stream off a SMB share off a Win7 machine (Plex is only used for TV over 4G).
I don't know anything about it, but "PS3 Media Server" sounds a little outdated. Would you be opposed to using a newer server like Plex or Emby? Besides, your question doesn't give nearly enough information for someone to help you.
