YouTube TV is an HTML 5 app, a design decision that came out of work done by Sarah Ali, YouTube’s head of living room products. Ali and her team built the standard YouTube app that runs on smart TVs, streaming boxes, and gaming consoles.
I just looked at the channel lineup. No Viacom networks, or Time Warner networks. That sucks as I want Food Network, HGTV, and Comedy Central. I don't need those but sometimes I will binge those channels.
they shouldve released it before that huge advertising push during the World Series

Why is html5 bad? Good hardware will always render higher frame rates which is a big reason for buying the shield, smooth graphics.
35$ a month? How much do you normally pay for TV?
I'm really excited this is coming to androidtv Samsung TVs and the Xbone... I hate having to cast this app.. I tend to get double ads at the beginning of shows, especially if it throws it's usual fit when I try to cast...
But, the one thing that really really irks me about this YouTube tv is that some shows are not truly recorded... They are in my recorded list... Thew show up like they are recorded, but they really are on-demand... Meaning I can't skip commercials.... And it's always the shows with 2minute ads every 3 minutes.. if it is not a true recorded show, don't call it a DVR... It's a curated list of on demand shows I follow...

Still not available in my area, so not really excited for this yet, I don't it will be rolling out anytime soon in the central valley

How is this a better deal compared to Hulu Live? Hulu is $5 more, but includes an impressive back catalog, has more channels, is slicker (though this is arguable), but alright, it doesn't have AMC and doesn't have an app for Android TV.

Ok I see nvidia shield is on the list but what about the Mi Box? Is this going to be another Amazon Prime Video exclusive to the shield?
A lot of channels missing... No HGTV? No nba? No food network? Am I missing them
Anyone know if this is going to be another disappointing app if you don't happen to live in USA/North America?
If YouTube TV integrated with Live Channels... it would be awesome.
