[Freebox Mini] Netflix on unsupported Android TV

by alessbelli

Good morning, I have some trouble installing a working android TV version of Netflix. I have found (no links, gooogle :) ) several patched versions of the Android TV app for Netflix. The last one, almost 1 year old 3.2.2 version worked, sometimes crashed, but was perfectly useable (and played back in 4k) during the last month or so.

Yesterday, it fell back on the dreaded ui-800-3 error which crashed the app, no matter how many times I restarted it. Because of this I'm trying hard to find a perhaps newer version of the patched app, or trying a way to bypass this error, which I have no idea where it would come from. Any ideas here?

Thank you very much,

The Razer Forge had the same issue, and the community got around it by building a custom ROM that spoofs the build properties of a MiBox. Could there be something similar available for the Freebox Mini?

Hey, I had the same error last night on my Fire TV Box (100% Stock). I had to sign out of the app. I believe clicking more info on the error should get you to a screen that will let you sign out. Or clear app data.

Good luck!

For future reference, what worked best was sideloading the regular, non-tv app, and then using a mouse (bluetooth mouse, for convenience) to navigate the app since remote control buttons aren't mapped inside the app. Now netflix works without any issue besides the fact that UI wise it wasn't built for tv

Buy a supported box not a box running software for a phone/tablet.
