For the support of Google assistant, Google app update is fine or any ota update is required?

Voice search is working but how to activate assistant? I've updated to Nougat now.
I got an update but I can't activate Google Assistant, just get the normal voice search. Any fix for this?

Just installed to my x810c. works good . Now you don't have to search for your phone to convert oz to grams...etc
Did anybody in EU receive that update? There is only v6.2671 from October 25th available on UK website.
Got it side loading it, because I didn’t get it via firmware update. But EVERYTHING is a youtube search i cant play/ pause, turn volume or play something on netflix or youtube. The only thing i can do is open apps, im from Spain, anyone got it functioning like a google home/ nvidia shield ?
a there a list of commands you can use? what types of things can the assistant do?
Still doesn't make a smart TV worth it, versus a "dumb" TV with a smart device attached via HDMI.
