Hi i don't have android tv, so i dont know how the platform works. I have two questions if you can help me. 1: Do dowload apps work (keep downloading) on the background if another app is open(foreground). 2. Will the download app close(download stop) if the tv is turned off(standby)... thanks
What do you mean by download apps? The play store will download in the background.
It works the same as most modern devices. Even the PlayStation downloads in the background now. haha
These days, everyone is going to be hopping in and out of apps. Downloads must run in the background. No one is going to sit there staring at their TV to watch a download finish.
An alternative would be downloading to your computer and using Plex on your PC and your ATV.
You really DON'T want to torrent on a device with flash memory. It will decimate its lifetime with all the delete/writes whilst downloading!
if you do it at least connect a normal usb hard disk and make sure the torrent app uses that and only that for all its activities
