Shield TV, Replacement Power Supply ( Ireland / UK )

Anyone know where I can source a new power cable for my Shield TV? ( Ireland / UK ) - the one I have is making electrical “hissing”/“buzzing” sounds all the time, even when on standby. I’ve resorted to not using it for fear of electrical fire or short , that and the fact that it’s irritating to hear all the time. It’s very loud.

I have troubleshooted and eliminated any other potential problems ( power socket, extension cord, loose wiring ) its definitely the power cable.

Tried the usual, Amazon etc. but no luck !

I lost mine, and did a live chat with them about a replacement. They had me take various pictures of the serial number, and asked for a copy of the receipt but eventually sent me a new one, UPS overnight gratis.

I had exact same issue (UK), spoke to live chat and it ended up in two attempts to fix:

  1. A new plug for the power supply (obviously this didn't work, resulted in me speaking to live chat again)
  2. They sent me a brand new shield under warranty. This did work. It seems to be a hardware problem with the shield itself.
