Running emulators on Mi Box

I have RetroArch installed and a working gamepad, but I can't get the roms to side load properly. I've downloaded and unzipped them to a USB drive, but when using a file explorer to move them to internal storage, it is showing the drive as blank. What am I doing wrong?

Don't unzip the roms... Should work fine...

What controller do you use? Can you play two player games with the emulators?
