Install Nick Jr on Android TV?

I have an Nvidia Shield and noticed that Nick has an Android TV app but not Nick Jr. Has anyone tried installing the APK from the Fire TV (looks like it came out in August) or installing the Play Store non-Android TV APK? I'd really like to have this app on the Shield and considering how long ago they came out with Nick for Android TV, doesn't seem likely that Nick Jr is coming any time soon. Thanks!

Gave it a try. Won't let me use the app without logging into the Amazon app store. Installed that and logged in but just get a message saying I'm not logged in and then everything quits back to home. Any ideas?
