Howdy-
I'm wondering if any other heavy Netflix users have noticed that Netflix has increasingly slower to load or buffer correctly over the past few weeks, or if there might be a problem with my network setup?
I recently switched from Comcast to a fiber provider in my area (Metronet), and since then, I've noticed that Netflix on my Bravia will occasionally hang on a title I try to play and spend a good 30-60 seconds buffering before actually starting. Additionally, as you would expect, the stream resolution will be awful, however it will also take a good 60 seconds up to a couple of minutes to reach full 1080p. On rare occasions it never will, but going back with the remote and then hitting play again will immediately get it to the proper 1080p. Once it's up and running, I don't encounter any other playback issues, typically until it's time to load the next episode. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough to be annoying, especially when I didn't have these issues before.
My network speeds are blazing and I haven't noticed any other stalls in things like PC multiplayer or torrents. I also switched to Metronet right around the time that my TV updated to Nougat, so I'm not sure if this is a latency or reliability issue with my new ISP, or perhaps something OS-level related to Android or the Netflix app itself. Has anyone else been seeing these issues with Netflix besides me?
Try force stoping Netflix or just do a reboot, the same thing happens to me once in a while (Nvidia Shield TV)
