Anyone using a Shield as a nzb downloader?

by th3suffering

So, trying to figure out a way to be cheap and spend next to nothing to get full speed downloads from my gigabit internet connection. Currently have an old laptop acting as a sabnzbd/sonar server. Problem is, no gigabit Ethernet and USB2, have a gigabit to USB3 adapter attached and I get about 20MB/s downloads, but that's a far cry from what my connection is capable of.
Shield is hardwired and doing >900Mb/s up and down per speed tests. I know sabnzbd wont work, but I do see NZBGet will work on Android. This is great, but then the next problem is using Sonarr with it. Anyone using NZBGet on the Shield with Sonarr on another machine sending downloads to NZBGet?
I found this: https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/wiki/Completed-Download-Handling which says its preferred to be on the same machine but it looks like it may very well be possible over the network.

Where are you going to store the files? Or rather where are you going to download them?

You have a normal shield or a pro?

It's easy to do this with PM, but without it I don't know if it will work.

Yeah I do. Nzbget. Works great. Add to my Plex server running also on shield. Got a 3TB HD as USB storage
