(re)Mapping to mic/search button Sony Bravia

Hi everyone. I recently sideloaded google assistant on my sony bravia 49XD7004.

I connected a usb mic, and its working great, but voice activation is not available, nor do i have a mic button on my remote, so i have to navigate to the search button to use it.

I tried remapping a button on my remote using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.homebutton&hl=en the remapping itself works, but the action 'assistant' prompts 'not available' when activated. & the action 'search' prompts 'No application can handle this action'.

Is there anyone that got this to work? i'd hate to have to spend a bunch on a remote with integrated mic or a shield tv, just because i cant get the button to work.

Hi, i have a xbr55x700d i dont have a mic nor voice button either.. my question is, that app.? Did you installed on the TV itself?

What mic do you have? How well does it work? I wonder if the android sony app has this button.

If that or another app can bind to arbitrary keys rather than an app/action try mapping to Windows key, brings up the listening action on my Mi Box
