Google Assistant on Shield TV Not Working

Just recently received my Shield TV (2017) which seems to be a huge upgrade over the Nexus Player. My only issue is when I try to use assistant to play Netflix or HBO shows it tells me it doesn't support individual TV shows and episodes. Am I missing something? I do believe I have a pending update for the remote which I attempted but it failed.

EDIT: The update to the remote and a reboot got it working.

I think Netflix works when you're in Netflix. Typically when I ask for something on the home page it uses YT.

I don't know about individual shows but you should be able to say hey Google play X on Netflix and will continue where you left off in the series.

Plex still isn't working for me after the latest update as well...
