I've been browsing through this sub because I'm thinking about buying a Mi Box but I haven't found any clear explanation on wether you can actually connect an external hard drive and make it work with a torrent client (hopefully one with rss support). Does anyone have any update on the subject? Should I be looking for another android tv box? Does anyone recommend something in the same price range that can do the same?

I'd probably just use a Raspberry Pi myself.
Yeah, I just use the Kodi app on my mi box to pick up the Emby server from my pc. But a bit of Googling picked up [this.] ( https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/bittorrent-inc/µtorrent/ ) I haven't used it so results may vary. Good luck though.
I dont' see any reason why Kodi + Quasar cant' do this . as long as the Mi Box can "see" the external drive it shouldn't be a issue . But i'd really just suggest running a torrent client on your pc and use a android app to control that client and then stream your movies with Plex , its a better setup honestly
Bad idea. It can be done but you will enter a rabbit hole trying to fix issues that pop up everyother day. Just use torrent client on your PC or setup a NAS.
