Has anyone else experienced issues with the YouTube TV app only streaming at low resolutions ? (240 or 480)
I'm running it only the shield and a 480 resolution doesn't look that good on a 4k TV lol.
Let me know if there's any fixes or work around I should be looking in to
It did this to me on the desktop when I did the trial several months ago. It was streaming HD for the first few days and then starting offering me 480p as the max res and HD never returned for the remainder of my trial. I know it wasn't a bandwidth issue because 4k streams on YouTube were still working.
I've noticed that chromecast streaming often comes in better than running it natively on my shield. I figured it was the typical android tv version gets the shaft scenario.
I get outstanding resolution all the time on both the Shield and Nexus Player. Pretty amazing actually.
I get 0k resolution in Boise, Idaho. :-/
