Join the battle for Net Neutrality! It will die in one month and will affect all of us!

Net Neutrality is a GOOD thing... Title 2 classification is NOT a good thing. The FCC is ending Title 2 classification, not net neutrality. They don't have the ability to end net neutrality, since net neutrality is easily enforceable through basic capitalism.

Title 2 classifies the internet as a public utility. Obama regulations in 2015 required ISPs to start enforcing net neutrality, with a absolute requirement by the end of 2017... so technically the internet has not been Title 2 for the past 25 years, and functioned perfectly fine. Title 2 classification is an attempt to solve a mythical problem that doesn't exist.

The problem however is that there are massive downsides to Title 2. Every industry that has come under Title 2 has collapsed. The government enforces prices, and standards in the industry. Which of course stifles innovation, and competition. Name me a single industry which was successful before government involvement, and got better after government involvement. Doesn't exist.

The better way to enforce net neutrality is through competition and the free market of capitalism. Instead of adding regulation, we should be removing regulation. Regulations specifically which make it harder for small business ISPs from breaking into new markets.

If an ISP starts doing anti-consumer practices, they should be able to switch to a different ISP. It's called voting with your wallet. The problem is, right now most people don't have multiple choices of ISPs... precisely because of government intervention. The government does things like striking down new businesses who try to bring broadband and wifi access to customers.

For instance, NYC, DC, Philly and other metros have been striking down internet expansions in their areas. This can only happen in places where the government is in control. And making the internet a government utility will only make this problem worse.

You know how T-Mobile did that data exemption thing? Where if you watch videos on YouTube and Netflix, the data you use on those networks don't count against your data limits? Well under Title 2, such a feature is illegal and goes against Net Neutrality. It doesn't matter how beneficial it is to the consumer.

Trump's entire agenda, which he has stuck to, since his inauguration has been about deregulation. Getting the government out of the way of businesses and innovators. He is a firm believer that government doesn't control the economy, he just needs to get the government out of the way.

On December 14, the FCC is voting to curb it's own power and limit government overreach. How people are not in favor this is proof of how much people have fallen for the propaganda. Everyone seems to hate the government; but then they advocate to give the government more power... and they don't even know they are doing it.

The 2015 ruling gives TONS of power to the government and the FCC to regulate the internet; and it was passed using fear-mongering to solve a mythical problem that doesn't and has never existed. Title 2 classification would destroy competition and innovation in the industry, as it has done in literally every other industry which has been classified as Title 2.

You can not attain freedom by giving power to the government; this is a fundamental rule American individualism.
