Last upgrade broke Android remote speech to text.
This one fixed it again so I'm happy
I haven't upgraded yet. I am hoping it doesn't upgrade the YouTube app to the new version that is much worse.
- New things to Try on Google Assistant Plex: “Watch The Simpsons on Plex” or “Play the next episode”
I'll have to try that. Their Google Assistant episode triggering has been pretty poor.
I seem to be having issues with HDMI CEC not turning my TV/Receiver off and on when waking my Shield from sleep. Anybody else seeing this?
Havent installed it yet myself as I'm rooted. When I have time ill upgrade and reroot. Just wanted to share for those that didn't see it.
Ack still hasn't fixed the delayed subs on Vudu in 4K for me. Anyone else have that issue?
Right now it broke the settings app again with flirc remote where if I hold down it will only go 1 item. I had this issue with an older version that magically went away and now it's back.
The strange thing is the GUI and apps still scroll indefinitely when I hold down the button on my remote for flirc.
Maybe a little off topic but can I use a google home mini to control the shield, I don't have a controller only a remote (2015 Shield, I sold the controller to pay for a remote)
Interesting. My remote didnt work worth shit. After the firmware upgrade it actually is very quick and responsive.
FYI, this release is rootable. I just rooted it, works fine. Magisk Manager is reporting root and PS4 Remote Play is working. If anyones interested I do have a step by step tutorial I wrote up on unlocking the bootloader, rooting, and installing remote play. Problem is, when I try posting it, it never shows up here for anyone to see. When I sign out it says (removed) where the content should be. If anyone can guide me to what I'm doing wrong with reddit I will happily share it as its a good resource for those that want root.
