Is it possible to remove or hide these? And maybe VLC too? We got root access so it should be possible right? I dont want to do it if it isnt safe and might break anything?

You can connect via ADB over wifi (already enabled) and use the console to root and then delete the apks from the system apps, just pay attention to what you're doing.
Much easier to just put them at the back of the app pile and forget about them.
I removed some apps i did not use and mibox working well.
