No power button on shield remote... Alternative?

The remote that comes with the MiBox has a power button to put the device to sleep. I really miss this feature on the Shield TV remote! Especially since CEC on the shield works flawlessly so it turns of the tv itself too when I put the shield to sleep.

I cannot use assistant to ask it to sleep, because it doesn't work I'm Dutch (which I want to keep using as the language)

Now I just scroll to the bottom, to power settings and choose sleep. Too many steps... Anyone has a tip to make it less steps?

From home screen, hold back button down (long press) til power options menu opens.

After you setup the IR part of the remote you can tap back and home at the same time. I just got a remote today and test it out. This was added in the 6.1 update.

It sucks Nvidia decided to not put a power, play/pause, mute, and real (not capacitive) volume +/- buttons on the remote. But at least we have some hacks to get it to work

I just turn off my TV and my Shield goes to sleep on its own. I love not having to manually put it to sleep or turn it off.

if you have the new remote, tap home and back together to send IR signal to TV for power off.
