Mibox audio/video out of sync on every app.

by Jedixscum

My dad's mibox is having this issue and I can't seem to fix it. Ive restored the mibox and reinstalled all of his apps and I'm still having the same problems. Has anyone had this issue? It's out of sync on Hulu, Kodi, Netflix, and Plex.

I also use a mibox and im not experienceing any of these problems. I'd really like to fix this for him, but I have no idea what else to do.

This just started up for me, too, but it's on any app with video. Rebooting the Mi Box fixes the issue but usually it returns within a few hours.

I’m having the same issue. When it started (around 2 weeks ago), I rebooted the mibox and sync issue seemed to be fixed for a while. After some time the problem returned, though.

Now, even if I reboot, the issue continues.

I had the same problem but the only app affected was Netflix.

I removed the power cable and reconnected it after 10 seconds and that fixed everything.

Does the audio steam through the TV or directly to a audio receiver? If the later, you may experience some input lag. Try to enable game mode on your TV or disable some image enhancer options.

I got that audio sync problem too on HDMI/LG Beamer. Audio has massive lag. No real fix for it. Very annoying; I bought Mi Box because I was fed up with the Amazon fire stick. Now Mi Box gives me the argh!#*...

Answer here, maybe Xiaomi hears us.

I´had fix mine by sign in nextflix from my computer and play the episode / movie with the audio sync problem and then resume it on the Mi box app. For me it only happens on the netflix app since an app update

Are you using the original firmware or the nougat beta?

I have this issue when using the cast function from any device, be it phone, tablet, or chrome book

This happens quite often to me. A reboot fixes it every time..... Until it starts again.

I'm finding it only since I moved from 1080 to 4k. Once I reboot it's fine for a bit till it strays. If I back down to 1080 it seems fine though... I'm about three reboots away from picking up a shield for 140 it going back to (gulp) Roku.

I've just started hitting sync issues on Netflix too, originally thought it was due to upgrading the lounge mi box to nougat, but now hitting the same problem on the mi box in the bedroom running on stock.

Seems to be caused by a recent update to Netflix , might try an older version

I have the same issue, any help is greatly appreciated.

I have this issue when using chromecast function. It becomes normal if i use the actual app with the remote. I also force close the app in the settings. On the dev settings, I set it to do not keep activities. This box is not a multi tasking machine. Id rather have it perform 100% at a single task than 70%. Maybe it is a placebo effect but it kinda worked.

Mine started to act up last week, but it happens mainly in YouTube, kodi works ok.

It happens to me with every app that uses video. It's very frustrating and I can't understand why the company isn't doing more to fix it. If this strictly a Mibox issue or does it ever happen to Chromecast 4k as well?

ValevaruGR

Same here, just started. Whats the issue?

Well, I seem to have this issue since around a week... Did some updates...

Goong_addict

I just got a new MiBox ystd. I wasn't syncing with my Netflix. I rebooted the box and plugged out the power and hdmi cable and tried again. Now it syncs. Let's see how long this lasts

ryanmi

All of my mi box'es are starting to do this. Restoring to factory settings seems to temporarily resolve the issue for a week.

qwertBronson

Same here. In my case I reboot Mibox and fixed (Netflix and Twitch), for now.

Click and hold Power button > when Reboot show in the screen > Click to Reboot

gayestging

The same thing is happening with mine. It's so frustrating.

Very sad experience on my first day with the device. ): Hope they release a patch soon enough.
