What web browser is everyone using for their Android TV?

They are all garbage. Seriously, I don't use them.

Puffin Tv Browser is usable with the remote

The best browser is the one in the phone in my hand while watching videos on my Android TV. When I want my browser on screen to share with someone else, I cast my phones screen to the TV.

In other words, there are no good browsers for TV experiences, and as a web developer, I hope it stays this way. A 10-foot interface controlled by a remote is not something I want to support.

Firefox usually since most of the same extensions from the desktop version work, usually use it over the Youtube app for adblock and playback speed purposes, not for much else. Requires a mouse of some kind though.

==EDIT== Adblock, playback speed, and manual quality selection. And to a lesser extent reading/leaving comments on videos if I feel like it for a particular one

Chrome, but only for that rare occasion where my sports stream keeps dropping on my computer.

Puffin TV is what I use to access news and reddit, I've also used Chrome, but you'll need a mouse for that.

Any I have seen are crap.

I usually don't need a browser at all.

However if I do for some reason want to use a browser, I just use Gamestream to remote into my PC.

You can manually add any game through Geforce Experience on your PC so you can access it from the Shield.

So this technically means any .exe.

I added C:\Windows\System32\mstsc.exe as a game (remote desktop).

So whenever I feel like it, I just launch this "game" from my Shield and then I'm instantly looking at my PC's desktop. If you have a mouse handy to use, you can do anything.

Sometimes I will just check Thunderbird or use Chrome briefly.
Beats any browser I've installed on Android TV.
The best part is there's literally no delay. Or at least it's so minuscule you can't tell.
It's like I'm running a 50ft HDMI cable from my PC upstairs down to the TV in the living room.

If someone can make a decent one would love to use it. Google browser is great but it's not tv friendly.

Nothing right now since google chrome isn't loading :/

Pretty much see no use for a browser on the TV for anything but a curiosity.

Web Browsing on a TV screen, siting in an Armchair, using any sort of Mouse = a right Royal PITA. It's not a nice experience simply due to the co-ordination and concentration needed.

It's a great way to torture yourself and really inflict pain on non-tech members of a household.

Simply do not do it. Use a PC / Mac or Tablet for Web Browsing.

Puffin user here. Love the ability to voice search in it so you don't have to type in a search or web address.
