USB Network adapter on Mi Box 1028 beta needs reboots?

by joq3

Hi,

I have been running my J5 Create JUE130 usb network adapter on my Mi Box running Nougat 7.0 Beta 1028 for a week now. Two times when I have woken up the device from sleep it had not internet connection at all. I went into the settings, and it said Ethernet was Connected. But still no way to load any data from internet until I restarted the box, it has since worked for a day.

I researched a lot before purchasing the J5 Create JUE130 which uses the same AX88179 chipset the UGreen adapter uses (which is recommended in a lot of threads): https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Network-Adapter-Ethernet-1000Mbps/dp/B00LLUEJFU

Have you had any problems with your network adapter with AX88179 chipset on Mi Box 1028 Beta?

Any solutions?

Do you use the Live Channels app? It seems to be flooding the network on my Shield TV lately. If you clear data/cache on Live Channels it stops losing internet access.

I've had problems with usb adapters (88179 and 88172A) from launch firmware right up to the latest 1035 public leak beta. They are always slower with wireless always faster for me. The 179 gives me about 17MB/s on the raspberry Pi 3, so it lives there now.
