I recently purchased a Android TV and after a few days every time I power up it reboots.
Is there a know cause for this? Is it app related? I'm seriously considering returning it.

Bravia's seem to be notorious for random reboots but your case seems pretty severe, as suggested try a factory reset but before that check for system updates and then reset it you might it stuck on an old version which could've been buggy
Don't bother with this TV. My 2015 Bravia also reboots on power on. Factory reset helps for a few days and it's back to rebooting. Is yours a 2017 model? If so then congrats to Sony for not fixing this glitch for two generations of their TV.

Mines the same. It doesn't do it consistently though, so I can live with it. It is annoying how bad android tv is on these TV's though
Try a factory reset, and check if it is still happening
