I've just purchased a Mibox 4k MDZ-16-AB and trying to enjoy with adorable features which Xiaomi offers to the market. But i got a very terrible problem that costs me a lot of time and headache a whole last weekend. YOUTUBE - is not stable to play videos even though i had tried to moving from all 6.0 version to 7.0. I did try 1038, youtube got VP9 issue. Flashing to 1028, youtube has still the same.
Is there anyone who faced with this problem and know how to resolve it? Please help me!!! Someone here said that the issue is related to hardware and a lot of Mibox 4k Owners face with this shit. Some claim that they can fix it and 7.0 must be required. Is there anyone who can help meeee
Anyone else having issues with remote not working after getting into the recovery menus? Any Solution to this problem?
How do you guys manage to get the OTA's? I'm on 1028 and an update appears available: "Android security patch to July 1, 2017" But when I install it goes off without going to recovery, and then showing Verification Failed on the update screen on Settings.
Youtube 4k works when full network bandwidth but can't get "Youtube HDR" to my 2016 LG TV. Anyone can get "Youtube HDR"?
I think what's more interesting is getting MM back after installing nougat. Looks like someone figured it out.

So, is there anyone else who has tried this latest beta and it hasn't had any adverse effects? At least not Neflix/DRM effects? On the Xiaomi forum, it seems that there are reports of the latest beta breaking Netflix and there were one or two reports in this thread that said the same.
To me it breaks fullscreen playback of video stream in chrome browser (installed directly on mibox). embedded in website (not fullscreen) or with build 1028 is working as expected.

Has anyone tested if this beta build works with live tv in Australia? I've been waiting for the OTA nougat update so I can use my Xbox usb tuner to plug in the aerial to get tv to my projector.
Hi Ive just purchased on of these miboxes; is it worth upgrading to the beta 7 nougat or leaving on the 6.x firmware? for stability and kodi, plex etc. thank you.
I installed 1560, after new firmware, I got everything set up. Netflix works, Youtbe works, installed a few other apps. After a reboot, Youtube started taking an update. Once the update was complete, youtube is now not working. I launch the program, I can see the videos but when selecting them, I get a black screen for a minute or two then the video sometimes starts and it buffers terribly bad. Other times it doesnt do anything. Seems like it overleads the resources of the box as even trying to go back to home screen takes a while.
After the YT update, my other videos wont work either, like netflix or an IPTV app I use. They just lock up and get a blank screen.
Does anyone have any suggestions to keep youtube from automatically updating, or does anyone have a version that can be sideloaded while the original one is disabled?

General question , I have random junkyard box with 1 GB RAM & 4 GB ROM with android 5 on it. I cant use Kodi and I use it for streaming netflix,amazon prime and youtube. Right now it kind of jitters every nwo and then. Would you guys recommend Mi box for me? I also have 2-3 Usb ports in use.
So whats this make it, a full year of beta builds? Xiaomi should be embarrassed about this product.
