Looking for a working remote (w/ airmouse? keyboard? voice?) for Mibox

by oroboros74

Ideally, I'd like something that has:

  • two sides: one for basic DPAD input, other with keyboard (just seems more useful?)
  • airmouse (but dunno if it works well on Mibox? any users who want to give input?)
  • voice input
  • possibility to learn IR codes for TV
  • IR and Bluetooth (like the original Mibox remote - is there anything like this?)

There's a couple on here that look promising and i may try that one spartoi uses.

If and when you find such a remote, pls post a link here cos I also want one of those remotes that has airmouse and keyboard on the flip side + all default stuff that the regular remote does.

Even better if it from aliexpress or from ebay.

MINIX A2 lite, Air mouse, Mini Keyboard remote is Plug n Play on the Mi Box. Quality remote !

Uses a USB WiFi Dongle.

No Voice input tho.

All of the android compatible remotes that include air mouse functionality work by 2.4ghz signal that requires a tiny dongle which will occupy the lone USB port on the Mi Box.

Fortunately, you can get a 4 port USB 3.0 hub for the Mi Box for about 8 dollars from Amazon. The remotes are around 15 USD.

I continue to be happy with my purchase of this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015O5UM6M/

The batteries last for months even with the backlight activated. Airmouse works well enough that when I need to use an app not specifically designed for Android TV that requires pointing, it's not a huge chore. I don't have any complaints about the keyboard, but I also bought a standalone, full size USB keyboard because I like to type without looking.

The surprise for me is that the remote includes four IR learning buttons that allow you to control functions of your TV, receiver or anything that works via IR remote.
