If you recorded a show on youtube tv just tell it to play the latest episode. It works for me.

Can't play Netflix? In the Google home app you need to link your Netflix account in there. Account preferences > Media Accounts. Google Home will definitely play Netflix .
YouTube TV works great with Google home and Android TV. I can play any shows/movies/channels. Change volume. Turn on/off captions. Go back or skip ahead.
If you have a Shield it should work because it has a built in Chromecast
Yeh it doesnt work on Android TV but works on Chromecast. Its stupid really and hopefully something they fix soon but Google has half forgotten about Android TV
