Mi Box turning on and off by itself

The Mi Box is constantly turning on and off by sending a signal for TV to switch to HDMI input. Like a quick wake-up/sleep action. It makes my TV to stop each time and showing no signal for HDMI. It also spins up the attached hard drive on/off.

Anyone noticed this annoying behaviour? The Mi Box is running on the latest production update.

Try each: switching HDMI cable. And/or Turn off CEC. And/or switch HDMI ports. And/or enter developer settings and put it to never sleep

Mine did that all the time until I installed Android 7. Never could figure out why. Now it doesn't anymore.
