Xiaomi Mi Box remote doesn't connect

by dear97s

Today I bought a Xiaomi Mi Box and I'm still trying to connect it to my tv because the remote doesn't pair. I've tried everything, but still...

Any ideas?

Merry Christmas!

UPDATE: Thank you all for your replies. I didn't have the time to reply, I was away for Christmas. The remote works just fine, I just changed the batteries.

P.S.: I realized that an Internet browser's missing.

Happy New Year!

try another set of bateries

bluetooth is on the 2.4Ghz spectrum. If you're in an apartment complex and your 2.4Ghz is flooded with wifi signals, it's going to be hard to pair it.

I have this issue. It paired on the second factory reset and has been working fine since. Make sure your have nothing else connected when you try and pair. No keyboards or android apps ect.

I have the same problem and solely use my wireless keyboard. I'd love to know how to connect the remote too.

Make sure the batteries are inserted haha. Then hold circle and back button simultaneously in front of the box until you hear "beep" from the remote.

The remote is crap. All these suggestions of replacing batteries and factory testing may work for you. They did for me, but I've also owned four remotes and only one of them still works today. I use HDMI-CEC to control the box or the Android remote app on my phone.

If you have tried everything and cannot get the box to pair with the remote, it could just be broken. Mine is unable to be found by any Bluetooth device and seems to just be plain old busted. Opened the remote up and tried looking for obvious issues but was unable to find anything. Hope you have better luck then I did!
