Limiting Background apps to 4 maximum doesn't stick after restarting tv (Sony XBR-850D)

Yep, that's just the way it is, unfortunately. Hopefully later versions of AndroidTV fix this for us.

It's the same on Nexus Player and SHIELD I believe (from my own). Seems to be an OS bug/limitation - not specifically just your TV.
