Just got a shield TV for Christmas, and when opening the box I noticed the controller was very sticky feeling. I can see some sort of residue on the controller in places, anyone else have this/Is that normal?

Just got mine and also noticed this. Seems to be a manufacturing defect. My first shield I bought last year didn't have this problem.
Mine was like that too, next day was all right. What a weird experience.

Was the box still shrink wrapped when you got it..?

I bought mine a week (or so) ago, and it was the same... I used it for a little while, forgot about it... and it isn't sticky anymore.
