VPN Per App - Split Tunnel?

by batinica

I'd like to use a VPN on a per-app basis, (I'm looking to access geo-restricted content).

At present, I toggle the VPN on/off as needed when changing apps. This isn't the worst problem in the world but it would certainly fall in the nice to have category.

Reading up online, it seems that what I'm looking at is VPN Split Tunneling - but I've not gotten much further than that!

Has anyone got any experience of achieving this or similar and can offer some guidance?

This app allows a per app basis and accepts certs so it works with major commercial vendors like PIA.

Hmm. Maybe a Tasker profile for you might work?

I'm sure you know already but there's also a dns service like Overplay where you can set the geolocation for each app on the website's dashboard. Pro is you connection speed, con is it may not work for what you want and it isn't free, though probably less than a VPN service.

Side loaded android PIA (private internet access) (available from their site) VPN app has this functionality built in.
