my sony tv (xbr55x700d) was saying that programs stopped working then it restarted itself and when it came back online, programs stopped working again and it restarted (getting stuck in a loop), we cut power to it and now this morning it's only showing the sony start up screen. the led illumination light is not even on. can someone please help me edit 1) i called they said try a factory reset, did not work, all it did was make the LED turn green
Another reason to keep AndroidTV within its own individual components IMO.
I liken these "AndroidTV TV's" to those TV/DVD combos they made for a bit, til everyone eventually learned/knew better.
Those were a PIA to service, too, model pending.
As mentioned prior, a factory reset seems your likely first move. Hopefully that resolves your issue?
Had a similar problem when I upgraded. Just call Sony if the factory reset doesn't work. They fixed mine.
I have the same problem and now the tv won't power up or show any sign of life (no light nothing).
