I have a Sony 930D. I am trying to figure out what is the best way to play a 4K HDR video on the TV. Is it possible to stream from my pc without having to encode into another format?
I hear of makemkv which can quickly convert iso to mkv format. Will this preserve the hdr content of my file? If I do this then I can just play off of the USB.
Kodi would be the best way. Make sure you ever plug the drive directly into the tv or have the tv connected to your network through Ethernet. WiFi can ruin the experience
