Ace Stream for Android TV available, but how to open links on tv?

by Proim

Just saw that Ace Stream for Android TV is available ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.acestream.media.atv&hl=en )

I've used Ace Stream as a desktop application for streaming football, but how do I open the links on my Android TV? There is the option to enter the stream ID in the app but that's a pretty painful undertaking to select 30 different characters with your remote...

Use the android tv remote app and paste the acestream id

In general you don't need this, just download soda player and cast from your computer, or download the android acestream app and cast from your phone.

There are some links which seem to have trouble casting however, perhaps this is a good backup.

Surprising that, in Livechannels app`s config, there is acestream for ATV channels source. i cannot config livechannel work with acestream for ATV, maybe this feature in beta and can use in the future?

Registered to answer this question, sorry if it's late. I recently bought a Sony android tv and just like yourself I wanted to load the acestream directly in the tv, as I have mixed experiences with casting lately.

I figured that I could open the acestream link themselves in the web browser of the tv, which would open the acestream app. But the default browser was unable to do so and didn't respond when pressing links. So I downloaded Puffin browser for tv from Play store and pushed the acestream pages with links from my phone to the tv. I could then conveniently browse all the links with Puffin and it would automatically open acestream.

What video player do you use within acestream?

I've tried mxplayer and yesvideo. None seem to work.

Ive been using this on my desktop for years just not sure how to do it on my android box.

For the question above, i bought logitech wireless kb and trackpad, can just copy paste stuff easily.
