Hi there AndroidTv friends I've extrected the Amazon Prime Video app from my 2017 xe80 Sony TV, I tried installing it on another Android TV box and it works! :D

P.s. Keyboard doesn't show characters so it will be hard to insert username and password, but it will work!
nooneisreal found a workaround I'm posting it here: If you are opening the app for the first time, you should skip the sign in menu and then go to Settings -> Register device -> register on website It will then give you a 6 character code that you can use to quickly register the device at primevideo.com/mytv Much faster than typing out your amazon username/password
Works fine on my Shield.
Actually it looks like the same exact Shield system app.
I have the Sony TV (US) Amazon Video app sideloaded on my Shield and by default, that version shows US content. As long as you have a VPN/smart DNS set up, you could access the content.
I was sorta hoping this European version would do the same (but for european content??). But it looks to default to the same Canadian content I see on the Shield's system app.

Edit: One weird thing with this euro version of the app on my Shield. Amazon Original content will not play at all. It tries to play it but then a pop-up says an error occurred and to try again in a few minutes.
However regular movies/tv shows play fine.
